Accessibility statement
We want every part of renting moving boxes from us to work for every customer, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard only, voice control, or screen magnification.
The standard we build to
We build this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That is the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act and by California's Unruh Civil Rights Act.
What is built into the site
- An accessibility menu on every page (the button in the bottom left corner) with text size, bright and dark high contrast, a readable font, monochrome, link and heading highlighting, reduced motion, a large cursor, and a reading guide. Your choices are saved on your device.
- Every page works with the keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a skip link to the main content
- Text and background colors are tested against WCAG contrast rules on every page
- Images carry written descriptions, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers
- Headings, lists, landmarks, and form labels use real markup so screen readers announce them correctly
- Text can be resized to 200% in your browser without losing content
- The site respects your operating system setting for reduced motion
Ongoing work
We run automated contrast and markup checks on every release, and we review new pages by keyboard before they go live. Accessibility is not a one-time project, so if we add a feature that falls short, we fix it.
